This division is the company's newest division and one of those targeted for significant growth. It is an important part of the company's strategic plan to offer turnkey developments due to the fact that currently the electric/gas utility in the area generally controls the placement of related joint trench utilities such as telephone and cable TV.

Prior to 2002, the company performed very little, if any, electric and gas work. Based on business development efforts initiated in the fall of 2001, the company will perform in excess of $1,000,000 in electric work in 2002. The company has been successful in securing major projects with Madison Gas & Electric ("M.G.&E".) as well as the City of Naperville Electric Utility ("NEU"), including a 3-year contract with the NEU. Business development efforts with other major utility companies and municipalities are continuing. While the company has not performed any gas work to date, it currently employs field personnel with extensive gas experience and is moving forward on obtaining the specialized equipment and training necessary to perform that work.
