Henshue Construction, Inc. (HCI) is a professional construction
company that has roots beginning in the late 1920s. As an independent,
family-owned and operated company, our specialty is underground
construction. Since 1993, the company is being managed by the third
generation of family owners. HCI is an innovative and diverse company
that relies on professional management to successfully complete
customer projects. At present, the firm's productive units are organized
into four operating divisions:
- Sewer/Water - Our first operating division and the foundation
for our expertise, this division constructs sanitary sewers, water
mains, storm sewers, and general excavation.
- Telecommunications - This division has the capabilities of designing,
building and maintaining communication related networks and structures.
- Electric/Gas - The newest operating division will allow HCI
to move turnkey solutions into the commercial and residential
marketplaces.
- Fleet/Equipment - The management of equipment and inventory
occurs within our fleet division, which includes hundreds of pieces
of major equipment.
REVENUE BASE BY DIVISION

HCI has approximately 200 employees, the vast majority of which
are field personnel. As a union-based company, the field personnel
belong to the IBEW, Operating Engineers, Laborers or Carpenters
unions.
The company focuses its efforts on serving customers in both Wisconsin
and Illinois although HCI has worked on projects in other Midwestern
states. Our company is headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin and has
several strategically located yard offices throughout the Midwest.
The current management team has focused on expanding and diversifying
the Company's revenue mix over the last 5 years. With a focus on
superior project management and an innovative approach to construction
projects, the result has been excellent customer growth and satisfaction.
As an indicator of our success, the average growth rate in terms
of revenue has been an outstanding 40% per year over the last five
years.
